Illamasqua Daemon, Revisted as a Blush

Recently I was commenting on Twitter (complaining, really) about how I never got my hands on that red Essence Twlight themed blush- Renesmee. See, I've always wanted a really, really red blush. Not pink red, but a true, not too blue, red. I then realized that I had (for the longest time, might I add) owned Illamasqua Daemon. Despite being an eye shadow, Daemon would suit my needs perfectly.

This is a very pigmented primary red. I barely touched the tips of my brush to the surface and almost over did it with the color. It definitely helps to be extra light handed and to use a duo fiber brush!

The tricky thing about this shade is that it can bring out any redness in the surface of your skin, I find that I have to conceal the heck out of my blemishes and use a full cover foundation. Red however, does seem to be quite universally flattering. I've actually used Daemon as a blush on much darker tones (NC53+) as well as pale, cool complexions and it has looked lovely. It just looks like the fresh, healthy flush of someone coming in from the cold.
