Mask Madness; Vol. I: Missha, O'Liye, My Beauty Diary, Innisfree, & My Scheming

Tuesday, August 23, 2016

The title says it all. I've been indulging in sheet masks like crazy lately, taking any opportunity to pop one on.

Weathered skin after a weekend of camping? Mask.
Dry skin from the heat? Mask.
Dull skin before a big night out? Mask.
Ran out of lasagna on a Monday? Mask.

There's a mask for that.

Two Stick Concealers Compared: [CLIO] Kill Cover Pro Artist vs Kanebo KATE

Tuesday, August 16, 2016

I realized last week that I only seem to buy concealers in certain forms. Squeeze tubes and stick are my favorite, followed by pan - as long as it has a screw on top. When was the last time I bought an open compact or liquid doe footed wand tube? No idea. Today I have two stick concealers from Asian brands to show you. [CLIO] Kill Cover Pro Artist Stick Concealer and Kanebo KATE Stick Concealer.

Review, Swatches, Looks: Sugarpill Sparkle Baby Palette

Sunday, August 14, 2016
I was recently reading the blog Portrait of Mai and she mentioned that the Sugarpill Cold Chemistry and Sparkle Baby palettes were being dc'd.

Wait.

Sparkle Baby. I have that. I never reviewed that. *sheepish grin* Today is as good of a day as any!

Review: Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion

Wednesday, August 10, 2016

I love hyaluronic acid lotions (or toners), I really do. For skin that dehydrates easily, HA lotions feel so nice as they help your skin plump and hold moisture. A long time ago (3 years!) I reviewed the "original" Gokujyun (Super) Moist Lotion and compared it to the JUJU Aquamoist Lotion (read that here). In addition to the regular Moist, there are now several versions of the Hada Labo HA lotion, including Light and Alpha (retinol).  When I ran out of my last lotion and found out that Hada Labo released a Premium version last year with FIVE forms of hyaluronic acid, well, I was very excited. Five, guys. Five!

Review, Swatches, Looks: LORAC PRO 3 Palette

Friday, July 29, 2016

Hello!

It's been far too long. I'll tell you what I was up to some other time, today I want to show you the LORAC PRO 3 Palette. You see, a couple months ago I dropped a self made MAC 15 shadow palette filled with some of my favorite matte highlight, neutrals and transitional shades (this is not the first time, why do I keep bringing makeup into rooms with hard flooring?!) and shattered many of the shades. When I heard soon after that LORAC was coming out with a new palette, I thought that the 3 would go a long way towards replacing some of those destroyed shades.
