50 Words or Less, VII: Visit The Skincare Graveyard & Some Empties

Friday, September 9, 2016
 Good afternoon!

Today's post is an installment of 50 Words or Less, a series where I lump together products that I didn't think deserved their own individual post. A lot of skincare, some things that I liked to the last drop and some stuff that just didn't work for me.

The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Light Oil

Lightweight, thin oil. Heavily fragranced, powdery scent. Leaves the skin feeling quite slick after rinsing, even after using a follow up cleanser. My face never felt bare and I found the smell to be overwhelming.

$15 at YesStyle

Farmacy Rise 'N Shine Daily Moisture Lock

Lovely watery cream that sinks into skin easily. Boosts moisture and takes a lot of redness out of my skin. Doesn't really "lock" any moisture into the skin. A little goes a long way - took eight months to finish this jar.

$40 at Sephora

It's Skin Power 10 Formula VC Effector with Vitamin C

I had samples of this and thought I liked it. I was wrong. Leaves behind a sticky feeling, Was slightly irritating to skin (prickly feeling, redness) and no visible improvement.

$20 from YesStyle

Design Essentials Express Instant Moisturizing Conditioner

This is my 3rd 2lb tub. Each lasts me about two years. Wonderful conditioning treatment to instantly soften and add shine. Has been reformulated, have not tried the new version with almond butter. Comes in smaller tube as well.

Dr Dennis Gross Clinical Concentrates: Purifying Booster and Hydration Booster

Bother are liquids reminiscent of Asian Skincare toners. Add moisture back into skin. Instead of applying directly to skin, I like to add a few drops to my moisturizer to amp it up. Kind of costly, would not repurchase these two.

$58 for a trio of .5 oz (also includes Radiance Booster, which is another matter entirely) bottles at Sephora

Have a wonderful weekend!
