Indie Holiday Trio Collaboration by Serum No. 5, Lacquer Lust and Polished by KPT

Sunday, December 1, 2013

Hi folks!

Hope my fellow Americans had a great Thanksgiving! Did you buy anything on Black Friday? We were visiting family and unfortunately my computer was on the fritz before we left so I had to wait until we came home for him to fix it. Anyways I have a bunch of posts ready today.

This is the fabulous trio that Polished by KPT, Serum No. 5 and Lacquer Lust have worked together on to bring you this holiday season. Each  indie maker has done what they do best; thermal, glow in the dark and fine linear holo respectively.
This is Naughty & Nice from Polished by KPT. It's a pink to cranberry thermal shade. When warm, it's a soft rosy pink and cold it is a deep cranberry shade. It's filled with gold and opalescent blue sparks. Two coats.

Lacquer Lust presents a medium green linear holo. This holographic shade is super fine and contains a ton of micro flakes that look red/gold depending on  your angle and lighting. It's really unique!

Lastly we have Serum No. 5's offering, Yule Light Up My Life. It's a glitter topcoat that glows in the dark. There are various shades of glitter, all beautifully seasonal. This is one coat over black. I couldn't quite capture the glow in the dark on photo, it's more subtle but definitely there. You might have to charge it with a light bulb to see the full effect.

This trio is available from each of the makers' shops, Lacquer Lust, Polished by KPT and Serum No. 5. It will be available internationally from Harlow and Co

Lacquer Lust #notd

Friday, January 25, 2013
Hi folks!

Today I have another indie to show you, given to me by a very good friend. I'm a huge fan of green and holographic nail polishes so it's only natural that the combination leaves me drooling, right?

#notd is a very, super sheer granny apple green polish. It's so vibrant, it's practically neon. Unfortunately, I used four coats and you could still see my nail line. Though it is holographic, the effect is super mild. I could barely see it outdoors on a sunny day. I think this polish had a lot of potential, though sadly it did not live up to its full holographic capabilities. I want to force feed it Spectraflair and see what happens.

Have you tried any polishes from this brand? What did you think? Lacquer Lusts are sold on this website for $7.50 each (which I think is a great price point). Be sure to follow @lacquer_lust on Instagram for updates on restocks.

Products featured were given to me as a gift. For additional information, please refer to my Disclosure Policy.
