Shades from Glam Polish Cast A Spell II Collection

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

Good evening!

Tonight I have some sparkling beauties to show you all. I've mentioned time and time again that my favorite season for makeup and polish collections is fall, in my mind you just can't beat rich autumn colors and quirky Halloween combinations. Today's post is all about Glam Polish's Cast A Spell II Collection, of which I have six delectable shades to show you.
Each shade contains a lively scattered holo base with sparkly glitter pieces that further accent that hue.

Bewitched. Three coats. Bright, clean silvery holo with silver holo glitter. This just instantly became my new favorite silver polish.

Banished. Two coats. A rich burgundy holo sparkle with ruby red glitter.

Warlock. Two coats. A bright orange holo with orange glitter. My pictures look a bit more coral than the actual color, it's slightly more burnt orange than it is fluorescent orange.

Elixer. Two coats. A spring green holo with emerald green glitter.

Cauldron. Two coats. A rich teal masterpiece! Just look at that saturated color.

Wicked. Two coats. An indigo holo with purple glitter pieces.

All of formulas were very good, with the exception of the silver shade they were all two coaters with great opacity. They don't dry super top coat hungry or anything, for me a single coat of top coat sufficed.

I really like each and every color. I couldn't pick a favorite if you pressed me, honest. They're so sparkly and eye catching, even in indirect lighting.

I couldn't pick which shades I wanted to use for some nail art... so naturally I just used them all, at the same time.

That makes sense, right?

I used a makeup sponge to create a gradient with all six shades, using Bewitched as my base. I then free handed some geometric tips with a black creme polish. Since the makeup sponge soaked up quite a bit of the base (actually the textured look was really pretty on its own), I used one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and Seche Vite to smooth it all over.

So, so much pretty.

You honestly could not go wrong with picking up any of the shades in this entire collection. The Cast A Spell II Collection is available now for preorder, it officially releases on September 24th.

Glam Polish is based in Australia but good news- shipping starts at $7.95 for the first bottle but each subsequent bottle is $1.

Which shade is your favorite?
