TATCHA Gold Camellia Beauty Oil

Good morning!

The weeks have just slipped on by since I last blogged. Since the last time I touched upon skincare, I have added a new product to my routine: TATCHA Gold Camellia Beauty Oil. Each time I try out a new TATCHA product, I feel as though I am unlocking a new aspect of skincare Nirvana. Will the wonders never cease?

I ordered a travel sized bottle initially because I was (foolishly) hesitant about buying another facial oil. Having tried my share of various oils (carrot, hibiscus, avocado, grapeseed, castor and so on) and finding them wanting, I feared that the TATCHA Camellia Beauty Oil would heavy and look greasy upon my skin. This could not be further from the truth, as it turns out.

I unboxed the beauty oil to find a beautiful little bottle with a darling little dropper. Gold leaf sparkles daintily from within the bottle. The oil is colorless and thin in consistency, while lightly scented with a heavenly citrus/tea aroma.

Ingredients:
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Squalane (Olive Origin), Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Fragrance (Natural), Polyglyceryl-10 Pentaisostearate, Dimer Dilinoleyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Phytosteryl Macadamiate (Macadamia), Oryza Sativa (Rice) Germ Oil, Water, Tocopherol, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate (Licorice Extract), Oryzanol (Rice Bran Oil Extract), Inositol (Rice Extract), Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Alcohol, Glycerin, Algae Extract, Gold, Phenoxyethanol.

I need only two drops of this lightweight oil to complete my skin routine. I dot the oil all over my face and neck after moisturizing with the TATCHA Ageless Enriching Renewal Cream and use my finger tips to smooth it into my skin. At night, I apply an extra droplet under my eyes and my cuticles for extra radiant skin in the morning.

Once applied to the skin, the oil takes only a few minutes to sink in. I was surprised at not only how deeply the beauty oil penetrated but how nourishing and hydrating it felt. It didn't feel like an oil, instead it felt like a rich layer of moisture sinking into my face. The icing on the cake was that TATCHA Gold Camellia Beauty Oil did not leave any sort of oily sheen on my face at all. Not a trace. Base makeup went on beautifully over the oil.

This TATCHA Beauty Oil has shattered all my previous notions about facial oils. Hardly surprising, as I have yet to meet a TATCHA product I didn't like love irrevocably. Coupled with a fantastic new humidifier, TATCHA Gold Camellia Beauty Oil was just what my skin needed to beat its winter slump and now I have no reservations with buying the larger bottle.

The TATCHA Gold Camellia Beauty Oil is $33 for the travel size (.34 fl. oz.) and $95 for the full sized bottle (1.01 fl. oz.).

There's a lot of new things happening with TATCHA lately too, have you read the post on Messy Wands regarding the new lipstick? Also exciting new products like the silk polishing cloths and the Indigo Soothing Rice Enzyme Powder for those with the most sensitive skin.
