Rouge Bunny Rouge Abyssinian Catbird

So remember when I said I'd try to schedule posts while I was away? I lied. It didn't happen. I had a really great time in Puerto Rico though, so maybe pictures next Monday once I sort through them (between my cell, DSLR and underwater camera, I have two thousand something pictures, it's ridiculous). When I got back, it was all cloudy and "cold" (and I use the term very loosely in Californian terms) so instead of blogging or doing anything productive, I hunkered down to marathon Downton Abby. Post vacation blues, man.

bird-thing design on the case

Today, I have to show you the other Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-lasting Eye Shadow that I purchased, Abyssinian Catbird. AC was one of the shades that has been recommended to me countless times so I gave in knew that you guys wouldn't steer me wrong.

 It's lovely.
left: bare skin, right: over primer
A sort of bronzey, khaki, olive-y thing in a buttery pigmented formula.

It gleams. Even with the current lack of sunshine, light still really catches the color. I like using it all over the lid with smudgy black tightlining and a warm matte brown transition shade:

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Duo in Granite
Eyes: Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer, Rouge Bunny Rouge Abyssinian Catbird, LORAC Smokin', Rock & Republic Fatalistic, Benefit They're Real Mascara
Face: boscia B.B. Cream in Bronze mixed with Dolce & Gabbana The Perfect Luminous Foundation, NARS Sin
Lips: TATCHA Gold Camellia Nourishing Lip Balm*, BECCA Beach Tint in Watermelon

The moral of the story is, when everyone and their grandma says "go get RBR Abyssinian Catbird", you go and get Abyssinian Catbird. Rouge Bunny Rouge shadows are $25 online from places such as Dermstore or directly from RBR.

If anyone needs me, I'll be under a pile of blankets crying over Matthew (oh Matthew!) and inhaling snacks from Trader Joe's.
