Manyo Factory Lactobacillus Bifida Mist

This is without a doubt, a product that I never thought I would ever care very much about. This plain brown spray bottle doesn't score many points for looks, but after a few months of use the Manyo Factory Lactobacillus Bifida Mist inside is one of my favorite substances ever.

This was one of the MF products that proved a little challenging to obtain. I could order it directly from the Manyo Factory website, but the shipping cost for orders that total under $100 is $15. Many stockists that carry some core MF didn't have this particular product, so when it came back in stock at MelodyCosme, it was the first thing to go into my cart.

Ingredients list, as per the Manyo Factory website:

Peony extract, Bifida ferment lysate (20%), Lactobacillus/Pumpkin Fruit Ferment Filtrate (10%), Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Bacillus/soybean Ferment extract, Phellinus Linteus extract, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Aureobasidium Pullulans Ferment Filtrate, Palmitoyl Dipeptide, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Shitake mushroom extract, Coriolus versicolor mushroom extract, Copper Tripeptide-1, allantoin,Panthenol, Glycerin, Physalis alkekengi extract, Black tea extract, Fermented puer tea, Epigallocatechin gallate, Panax Ginseng root Extract, Ginseng extract, Algin, Forsythia extract, Dioscorea Opposita (Wild Yam) Root Extract, Methyl Gluceth-20, Caffeine, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pasqueflower extract, Usnea extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Scutellaria Baicalensis, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Adenosine

This list had me absolutely salivating. So much fermenty goodness, not to mention mushroom extracts and ginseng. Also, no water! There's something satisfying about water not being an ingredient at all.

The bottle while not winning any beauty contests, is very sturdy and high quality. The nozzle is excellent and creates a very fine mist.

And what a mist it is. It has an earthy aroma and if you're unlucky enough to get it on your lips, a bitter taste. It has a slight slipperiness to the feel of it, something I associate with fermented ingredients. The LB Mist sinks into the face very quickly and leaves the surface feeling so velvety, I can only describe it as luxurious. It makes me want to stroke my cheek over and over again. Since it almost feels slippery like oil (not quite, but something emollient), I use it as the final step in my skincare, after cream or sunscreen.

A not so great cellphone quality shot, but a quick selfie taken with this mist wearing powder foundation. This is my absolute favorite way of utilizing this spray. I have found that misting the Lactobacillus Bifida Mist before and after applying powder foundation does wonders. Spraying it before the powder acts like a silicone free, ultra fine application of primer. Then I use a brush to pick up and pat powder into my skin (instead of sweeping or dusting it across the face) and mist again afterwards. The second application just blurs together the appearance of the powder, it doesn't look dusty or cakey but really natural with a satin matte finish. Not only does this spray sandwich help keep the foundation fixed on my face for a longer time, it also helps keep sebum from breaking down the coverage. I used to not be very fond of powder foundations, but I'm absolutely thrilled with how Manyo Factory Lactobacillus Bifida Mist makes powder foundations into a quick and easy summer base option.  I also keep a small bottle of this mist in my purse for touch ups, it really makes my face look and feel really nice after powdering and blotting. The one and only downside is that without my usual silicone primer on my face, the pores on my nose are more visible.

I have enjoyed using this LB Mist since the very first spritz. I'll definitely be repurchasing when I run out. This spray should be used up within six months once opened, with daily use I think one would finish a bottle within three months.

Manyo Factory Lactobacillus Bifida Mist is $23. It can be purchase directly from Manyo Factory here or from US stockist MelodyCosme (use SUMMERWATERS for 15% off until 7/29/17, no affiliation).
