50 Words or Less: This Stuff Has Gotta Go

Wednesday, August 1, 2018

I'm having difficulties coming to grips with how it is already August, I truly never want this summer to end. Today's installment of 50 Words or Less is a collection of products that I need to destash. A lot of these products just broke me out, I get acne very easily from skincare.

Review: [innisfree] No-Sebum Mineral Powder and Blur Primer

Sunday, November 27, 2016

For the great part of the last year, I actually considered the oil production on my face to be at an all time low. I rarely found myself blotting ( it took me over a year and a half to finish a packet of Tatcha blotting papers) or even bringing along pressed powder in my purse. However in the last few months there's been an ongoing out-of-control sebum party going in my tzone and I find myself needing more products to keep myself from looking greasy, because you can't call the cops on your androgens.

Innisfree #107

Sunday, December 9, 2012
Hi folks!

I haven't gotten a chance to post much lately. Partly because it's getting close to finals and also because I haven't been taking care of my nails and they are embarrassingly short right now. Not that nubbins are shameful or anything, but I do take pride in keeping my nails filed and sculpted to what I consider the 'ideal proportions' for the dimensions of my nail beds and these... are far from ideal.

This is another one of the Innisfree polishes my dad brought back for me, #107. A dense glittery mix of squares, hexes and bars in various metallic colors. Worn one coat here over black creme.

Here I added a matte topcoat, OCC Flatline. Not so different looking but it tones down the glare so that you can see the glitter even better. I'm digging it. It's truly festive and confetti like.

What is your favorite rainbow glitter? Indie or big brand?

Have a great night!

Innisfree #105

Thursday, November 29, 2012
Hi there!

My nails are really short right now thanks to an IKEA Malm dresser incident. I don't know what it is about IKEA furniture, but I absolutely love putting it together. In fact, Morgan has definitely used the line "Want to buy something that you can put together? Will that make you feel better?" when I was bummed out. I don't know what is weirder, the fact that my boyfriend would offer to buy furniture so that I can get my kicks assembling it or the fact that it does indeed cheer me up.

Anyways, back to the polish. I hadn't planned on showing swatches in a while because I don't love my rounded short pointer finger, but my father recently went to Asia for a business trip. He stopped in Seoul and went out of his way to buy me a few polishes that I requested. I also found this pretty odd because not only is my dad not the gift giving type (he usually forgets birthdays and Christmas. One year, he panicked and bought me candy bars at a convenience store) he also hates polish. Yet he had his company contact help him make his way around Seoul to buy me some Innisfree. I'm touched and also wondering if the alien that stole my dad's body will be relinquishing it anytime soon.

THIS IS SO PRETTY. I can't stand it. Innisfree #105. I think they have normal word names too, but I forget what this one is. A mixture of white, copper, rose and translucent glitter in a clear base. Worn here over one coat of Revlon Royal over Le Chat Dare 2 Wear Ocean View.

Run to eBay and buy this. It goes for around $7 shipped, it's well worth it! Have you tried any Innisfree polishes? How about any other Asian polish brands?
