LORAC Green Room, After Party & Delight Eye Shadows

For about four years now, I had LORAC Green Room eye shadow in the back of my mind. I'd sometimes put it in my cart, take it out again (rinse and repeat). About two years ago I think, Ulta stopped carrying the single LORAC shadows (did Sephora ever carry them? I think so, but it's been so long) and I panicked a bit because it seemed that they were discontinued. Still, I thought that the $19 price tag was a bit too much. I thought about buying it long and hard during the Beauty.com 20% sale, but decided to wait for another LORAC sale on HauteLook. Patience paid off. I know that Green Room has been on HauteLook before, but for some reason I kept on missing those sales. At $6, I snagged Green Room and two other shadows without a second thought.

The other two I picked were After Party and Delight. These shadows (plus my recent favorable experience with the LORAC GLOgetter Palette) made me fall in love with LORAC all over again. Soft, buttery shadows that are extremely pigmented and easy to work with. How did I ever fall out of love with this brand?

Swatched in pairs, left side is on bare skin, right side is with primer. Green room is a dark blackened teal sparkle. After Party is a brown purple shimmer. Delight is a purple-y pink satin with blue interference.

The one and only flaw is that these shadows look much, much better with primer. Like 9000x better. It's a shame that they don't really pop on their own, but I never wear shadow without primer anyways so it doesn't bother me too much. It's odd because they are REALLY pigmented when you swatch them with your fingertips but it just really needs something to grab onto.

This was today's EOTD with Green Room.

I'm wearing:

Brows: NARS Bali shadow
Eyes: LORAC Behind The Scenes Eye Primer, LORAC Green Room, Catrice C'mon Chameleon!, false lashes, La Femme Eye Liner Sealer, Calvin Klein Night Dust

These shades are really quite pretty and I'll definitely post pictures of EOTDs with the other shades soon.

Have any favorite LORAC shades?
