Zoya 2013 Summer Pixie Dust Collection

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Hi folks! I'm so excited to share with you the summer Zoya Pixie Dusts, a collection of bright textured polishes. I'm really enjoying the textured glitter trend, the way the glitter catches in the sun is absolutely mesmerizing. Without further ado, I want to show you pictures. For each polish, I swatched it in the sun, in the shade and lastly indoors with topcoat to make it glossy.

Solange. An eye popping yellow-gold glitter. Three coats.

Beatrix. A sunny citrus orange with golden glitter. Three coats.

Destiny. Bold coral with golden glitter. Three coats, simply gorgeous.

Miranda. A cranberry polish with silvery glitter. Three coats.

Stevie is a pale purple with silvery glitter. Lighter in intensity, more like Nyx and Vespa from the earlier pixies. Three coats.

Liberty. A beautiful dark blue that leans a bit cyan with silvery glitter. This one took the longest to dry to the textured finish, almost 20 minutes for three coats. Also beware of staining on this beauty, Zoya does not recommend base coats for these Pixies but this one left my nail beds completely blue.

I really, really like these brighter Pixie Dusts. It's just what this summer calls for, beautiful sparkle that catches and bounces the sun's rays. In particular, Destiny was my absolute favorite, it's a shade that I want EVERYONE to own. Even though I did three coats for a fully opaque look, I think that if you wanted a less intense sheer look, you could also do two coats.

Zoya's Sumer Pixie Dusts are $9 each, free of toluene, formaldehyde, DBP (phthalates) and camphor and available at the Zoya website.
