Unwinding with TATCHA Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask

I'm making amends to my face right now.

The hustle and bustle of the holidays, has regretfully made me neglect my skin. Somewhere between creating the perfect presents for family, the cooking and the baking, I forgot to supplement my skin with much needed moisture. My nostrils were a bit chapped; there were quite a few little dry patches and boy, it was uncomfortable.

But today, I unwind. Rum balls are made, gifts are packed and we're about ready to hit the road. I'm treating my skin to 20 minutes of  the TATCHA Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask.

This mask is unlike any that I've tried so far. I'm used to cute Asian sheet masks where the mask is made from fibrous cloth or paper. The TATCHA mask is made from a unique jelly feeling biocellulose is derived from coconuts. It feels slightly slimy on the skin, but cooling and with a bit of tingle. It is sandwiched between two pieces of netting (pictured above).

A short spell later, I peeled off the mask and massaged in the remaining serum and topped it off with the TATCHA Supple Moisture Rich Silk Cream (which by the way, deserves its own post). My face so much better, like a great thirst has been quenched.

At $28 per mask ($95 for a four pack), the TATCHA Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask would be an occasional treat for me. It was much needed though! It felt like an emergency medic kit but for my face, soothing much of my skin.

Happy holidays, friends! A very Merry Christmas to you.
