Review: Born Pretty Store Plate m60

Wednesday, August 1, 2012
Good evening folks!

Today's manicure features a plate sent to me for review from Born Pretty Store, you know- the nail art supplies store that sells everything you could think of for nail art. This is plate m60.

Unlike the previous plates that I tried out, this one did not stamp particularly well. The designs don't seem to be etched deep enough. In fact on two of the designs, you can see some of the pattern missing if you look closely at the plate. It is particularly noticeable on the plaid design in the lower left corner.

At first, I thought that maybe I was doing something wrong- however after reading fellow blogger Kaki from Glitter Obsession's review I was inclined to think that it was indeed the plate and not Mimi error. I tried various scrapers (four of them actually- the branded Konad metal, the Konad plastic, a generic double ended scraper and Born Pretty's metal scraper). So while I maintain that most of the m-plates sold at Born Pretty Store are of good quality for a very low price, this one is an exception.

However, that didn't stop me from trying a manicure. I used Orly Lucky Duck as my base color and Sally Hansen Mint Sprint as my stamping color. I really liked this green on green action.
